Cyclones & Multi-cyclones
Cyclone dust collectors offered by Taylors are re simple and effective for removing heavier dust particles. They reduce particle volume in an air stream and can serve as pre-filters for high-efficiency collectors. Using centrifugal force, cyclone collectors separate dust from the airstream, directing it to a collection bin. Custom systems can be manufactured based on airflow requirements, dust particle density, loading, and type.
Multicyclones feature parallel cyclone cells within a housing and hopper, achieving high – efficiency particle separation in air streams. They excel in high-temperature and highly abrasive particle removal applications. Multicyclones are commonly used in industrial boilers as grit arrestors, offering a compact footprint ideal for space-constrained environments.
Wet Scrubbers
Wet scrubbers use a liquid to remove contaminants from an air stream. The removal process is achieved by bringing the gas stream into contact with the scrubbing liquid, which facilitates mass transfer of the contaminants into the liquid.
Taylors offers two types of scrubbers namely Venturi scrubbers and Packed bed scrubbers. Depending on the application and requirements, the type of scrubber used can vary significantly. The venturi scrubber is designed to effectively use the energy from a high – velocity inlet gas stream to atomize the liquid being used to scrub the gas stream. Packed bed scrubbers remove chemicals, fumes, and odours as the contaminated gases pass through the packing media that is wetted with a recirculating water spray system.
