Taylors Manufacturing and Taurus Engineering recently welcomed groups of high school students to their workshops as part of an initiative organised by Advancing Manufacturing Aotearoa.
The students toured both workshops, gaining an up-close look at the machinery, equipment and engineering processes involved in New Zealand’s manufacturing industry. They also had the opportunity to see some of the projects currently underway and learn more about the work carried out by our teams.
The visit provided an opportunity to introduce students to the wide range of career pathways available across engineering and manufacturing, from fabrication and technical trades to engineering and innovation.
Connecting with the next generation is an important part of supporting the future of New Zealand’s manufacturing sector. We hope the experience has inspired some future engineers, fabricators and innovators.
